99 Club, Comedy night, Leicter Square, London

For a chage from the general Friday night of party, we headed to the 99club comedy night in leicter square. We went for the cheaper tickets which meant sitting in non-reserved seating... Somehow amazingly this landed us sitting under the nose of the comedians, in the front row. And as my friends so correctly advised, we were made 1/3 of the act.... Me being south African, and half the jokes being made about race complemented all 4 comedians quite well :-).
For a level of quality I suppose I could compare this to the michael macyntire show currently on the BBC. Forgetting the obvious difference in size and amounts of lights the level of comedy was pretty good, maybe a tad bit overkill on race jokes... However the fact that the venue is pretty tight and the crowd is basically on the same level as the performer, you feel part of the act.

Would definately recommend this night especially if you Are looking for something to do in leicter square, due to the fact the place is full of tacky clubs and chain restaurants!!!
